Recently my computer crashed. the harddrive failed, and windows will have to
be reinstalled installed. all other parts of the computer are good. i want
to buy xp and a new hard drive and load it on to my computer, but will
microsoft still accept the license of xp now that they have vista out? also,
due to school issues, i will not be able to load it on the computer till
summer(middle of june, early july).

install date should have nothing to do with license issues.
