I also get that message ("could not be found"). Where do I click to get an
answer?

Windows Mail can't find a file you are trying to attach if that file is
open in another program. Be sure that file is closed.

This has been most helpful. I have been having this issue forever and
thought it was just my computer or something. I have Comcast and have been
sending attachments via the server as opposed to my email program. I closed
the file and it worked perfectly.

Gary's solution solved my e-mail attachment problem. After I closed the open
files, I was able to send the e-mail with the attachments

My problme is that I am trying to attach a link to more than one website. I
send a shortcut to my desktop and drag and drop it into the new message as an
attachment. Then I go back and send the short cut to the Recycle Bin and
then empty the Recycle Bin and close it. I go back and click 'Send' on the
message and I get that window stating that some or allof the files cannot be
locatre and might be sent in part or in entirety. Then it has the nerve to
ask if it's 'okay'. '
I am trying to avoid sending mutlitple mesages with a hyperlink. Actually, I
am trying to create a 'shopping list' using an email since I do alot of
purchaseing on line and I don't want to clutter my 'Inbox' with messages
containg hyperlinks and notes. ANd, i sure don't want alot of little Post
Its on my PC desk!
Is it possible to do this? Or am I dreaming?

Windows Mail tends to balk at pasting anything but plain text.
Pasting of images and hyperlinks works better in Windows Live Mail,
to which you are welcome to upgrade:
