Can anybody assist ?

Am running WinXP Pro sp2
When I go to Add/Remove Programs in my Control Panel,
only the first 4 applications show in the 'Currently
Installed Programs Window. Why don't the remainder show ?
(there are many)

TIA

Someone been messing with your registry and/or deleting uninstall
information folders that are best left alone??

Try this edit:

Remove the White Space from Add or Remove

Frank,
I have had a similar problem since installing SP2. However on my machine,
the first programs are listed, followed by a black space. If I scroll down
with the slider bar (a long scroll), I can find the rest of my installed
programs. I have not had any success finding a way to remove the black space
and the fix for "removing the white space
(http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_a.htm#ws)" does not work for me. You
might try the fix above and see if it works.

Tom I found a fix though a very labor intensive one. I searched every entry in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
until I found the program with the negative value in DisplayIcon and changed
it. In my case I changed the Data Value from -1 to 1 and the whitespace
disappeared.
The program should be somewhere between the last entry at the begining of
the whitespace and the first entry at the end of the whitespace.
Good Luck.

I too am having the same problems with the add/remove window. I have tried
the fix at Kelly's Korner which did not work, I tried looking at all the
entries in the registry along the path for negative entries of which I found
two that I changed from -0 to 0 and that too didn't work. I also have tried
other numbers. Nothing seems to work that I have tried. When I uninstalled
XPSP2 the problem persisted. Also my norton speed disk is no longer works.
Any ideas, suggestions. I'm at my wits end. Thanks

Jumbee, I have the same problem (as do many others on the web -- this
problem is mentioned in at least 6 XP help/tweak sites). I don't understand
what you mean by "-1". In every appearance the value of DisplayIcon in my
case is a pathname (such as C:\Games\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon\zoo.exe).
Some of the entries are followed by "-0" but removing the minus sign had no
effect. Where does the -1 appear?

I also tried another tip from one of the other websites, that of removing
the last program at the top of the whitespace area -- that was MS Calculator
Plus, and doing so had no effect.
