Post subject: Add & Remove Programs missing buttons to modify installed programs
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>security_admin (more info?)

I recently uninstalled a Cisco VPN client and had to do so manually. After a
reboot I discovered in Add/Remove programs that the program names are stil
listed but the buttons to modify any program are missing. When I checked the
registry the folder in local machine/software/microsoft/windows/current
version/uninstall is empty except for one entry for the old Cisco client. The
same registry folder under current user has only one item. I am logged in as
the Administrator on WXP Pro. Any suggestions would be helpful.
