Black screen with only mouse

when i exit from a full screen game/program, my computer screen turns completely black. its not turned off, and i can see the mouse and move it but i cant see anything else its just completely black with only the mouse. Help me fix this problem plz

When I get this problem it's either:
1) outdated/corrupt video drivers
2) bad game software.

I'd suggest updating your video drivers to the latest WHQL certified version that's available for your hardware (from the video card manufacturer's site).
