Post subject: Blank monitor

Blank monitor at startup. I upgraded my computer with new monitor, motherboard, pentium 4, graphics card and XP. All was well until I went online. Afterwards I ran AOL recommended webroots "cookies and cache washer". I've used this for a couple of years on 98SE. The monitor went blank. I can turn the monitor off and back on and view the desktop for 3 seconds before it goes blank again. At startup shows BIOS and post before going blank. Any suggestions?
