Every time my Windows starts I receive a blue screen stop error with the
following technical details:
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
STOP: 0x00000050 (0xE136B000, 0x00000000, 0x80535F5C, 0x00000001)
After finishing dumping memory, system restarts. I have Windows XP Pro SP2
installed with IE7. Is there any way to figure out from the STOP error codes
which hardware or software causes this problem in order to fix it? Please let
me know about the solution.
Thank you very much.

The error originated at memory address 80535F5C (from parameter 3 of
your error message) so if it is not a hardware issue then we can
possibly identify which software item is using that address. But
check for the hardware possibilities first as they are the most likely
culprits, as per the reference that Will Denny gave you.

Good luck

Eddie

Does it boot to to the Desktop in Safe Mode without error? What
happens if you disconnect all peripherals, except keyboard, mouse and
monitor?

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms793437.aspx

Are there any yellow question marks in Device Manager? Right click on
the My Computer icon on your Desktop and select Properties,
Hardware,Device Manager. If yes what is the Device Error code?

Try Start, Run, type "sigverif.exe" without quotes and hit OK. What
drivers are listed as unsigned? Disregard those which are not checked.

Do you have a Windows XP CD?

Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone for their suggestions. Actually I realized myself that the
problem is due to the driver corruption of my laptop’s wireless adaptor which
also prevented communication with Windows WMI service. I kept receiving WMI
error in safe mode, and sometimes when I was able to work in Windows,
clicking on Device Manager button in System Properties would gave me the same
STOP error. The surprising thing was that Device Manager was working fine in
safe mode and all devices were shown to work properly! Anyways, after fixing
the wireless driver the issue was resolved.
