Post subject: CD/DVD Rom Problem

a few months back, a virus disabled my cd/dvd rom. I can not seem to get it to work properly now. I even installed a different cd/dvd rom and the same situation occurs. The BIOS looks correct, the device shows up in device manager with no conflicts. When I put in a Cd say with pictures on it, I can't see them. I can burn to the CD as well and take the CD to another computer and see the images. I can play a music CD using music match but no other players, ie ITunes. I am completely clueless, I have looked everywhere for a fix and can't find it. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, looked for updated drivers, etc.

Someone please help! This is driving me crazy. Shocked
