If you're not real Computer Literate, as you said....
You need to learn one simple thing, that when Xp tells you to do something, you do it.
If it says that Chkdsk needs to run, then by all means, RUN IT.
Why is that a problem?
Go to start then RUN, type in
chkdsk /f /r
and press Enter.
Let'er run!
After chkdsk runs, then try Defrag again and NEVER click the Analyze button. You're there to Defrag not waste time analyzing...just Defrag.
You'll actually see the analysis when you do the defrag.
(always leave a space before any / in a command line)
