Mark,
Where I live I have only two options for broadband connectivity. Qwest DSL
or Charter High Speed Cable. I chose to go with Qwest DSL, even though I
could theoretically get twice the speed with cable. My choice is based on a
personal grudge I have with Charter that goes back about four years. They
raised my monthly fee for their cable television service (again, the only
game in town - a monopoly) over 30% without notifying me, or anyone else in
my town. Three days later I was watching Dish Network and have never looked
back. I will never do business with Charter.
You have a choice between AT & T DSL or Comcast Cable. Again, my choice
would be guided by personal reasons. Comcast is responsible for killing one
of the best channels on television, Tech TV. Their merger of Tech TV with
The G4 Network has been heralded as one of the most egregious offenses to
television viewers since the debut of Fox News. I will never do business
with Comcast.
I am very happy with my Qwest DSL service and so far I have had no problems
with it. I would go for the AT & T DSL service.
