I am going to establish a striped RAID array on my comp. I will have to
completlely re-install Windows XP pro. Since I have had problems with my
registry and SP2 install I figured now is best time for RAID array. My
question is: I want to keep only my personal and program files. I do not want
current config. on new HDD. Except for program files themselves what other
files will I need in order to re-install program files properly into new HDD?

You will need to reinstall every application that you intend to use.

Make sure you copy to external media [CD or DVD] ALL your personal files and
settings: use the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard to assist you in doping
this BEFORE you reinstall XP.
