Post subject: Foldersync Errors yet again... (still)

Outlook Express FolderSync Window Class:msimn.exe - Application Error

The instruction at "0x7x9111de" referenced memory at "0xf1000000". The memory could not be "read".

I am getting really really sick of this error. I see it at least six times a day between the two computers that I use.

Microsofts solution is to rename Folders.dbx to Folders.old and restart OE.

This is a very mediocre solution for two reasons.

1. If you have alot of subfolders and messages sorted into them you have to spend a very long time restructuring your folders to recreate how it was before. I have about 80 folders not counting news and it takes about an hour to get it all fixed back where it was.

2. The solution is only slightly temporary. Crashes that were as frequent as 3 a day reduce to none for a couple of days, then start happening again.

Please don't tell me that it is only my computer. I have seen this too many time on too many machines.

I have also tried keeping Inbox, Outbox, and Sent empty and frequently delete them and restart OE. Nope, that don't help either.

Something is hosed and I wish I could get it fixed. Any idea?

Thanks,

Kirk
