Greyed out tools in Microsoft Word 2003, Prof. Edition

Post subject: Greyed out tools in Microsoft Word 2003, Prof. Edition
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>help_and_support (more info?)

When i use Word most of the tool bar is greyed out... eg I cannot copy and
paste. This problem appeared quite suddenly without any obvious triiger.
Furthermore, if I try System Restore it tells me it cannot be restored.
What can i do please?... Peter

Have you tried a) doing a repair of Office and b) posting in a WORD group?
MS Office is not part of Windows......
