Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>security_admin (more info?)

Is there a way to hide the start button or taskbar completely. We are trying
to lock a desktop down and want to allow only use of shortcuts from the
desktop. Problem is when using AD we have problem with default programs that
keep showing up.
