I tried installng other components just to see if those installations would
be successful. The only other one that was not successful (besides IIS) was
"Fax Services". When I tried to install that component, I got the same error
message I got when I tried to install IIS: "Setup could not copy one or more
of the files. The specific error code is 0x8. Press OK to continue or
cancel to stop setup and try again. If you continue, the components may not
function properly."
With IIS.... Interestingly, if I click the OK button and let Windows attempt
to install IIS, it installs some of the necessary files, but apparently not
all of them because IIS won't work.
When I do an uninstall of IIS, I get another error message: "Error loading
C:Windows\system32\Aspperf.dll. The specified module cannot be found."
