I have a big problem with my Owner User Account. Yesterday, I tried to set a
password to my Owner Account so that only I could access it. The password
worked for about an hour, but after i let it set for a while, I think
SOMETHING changed it on me and now I can't get past the log on screen. Does
ANYONE know a way around it?

boot in safe mode log on will not appear, get to your user account change as
required, reboot, log on, should work

Once a password is set there is no going back. If you are new to windows
operatng systems or just new to that feature always put a [Hint] to remind
you of what the password could possibly be. Type a [Hint] that only you will
know. Now there isn't anyother way around this that I know other than
reinstalling the operating system in oreder for it to go back to factory
settings. In order to accomplish this boot your computer all the way up to
the desktop. Let all your programs load. Next place the XP cd in the cdrom
drive i.e.. F drive or E drive. Click on install windows and it will give you
two options which the one that you wanna choose is the upgrade installation
part. Windows will install everything associated with the operating system
only, you will not lose any files or data saved on your hard drive. *Note,
you are not reformatting the hard disk, you are insatlling the operating
system from the desktop environment. It will then ask you for the cd keys
once the installation is finished. You also need to be connected to the
internet when installing the operating system. Hope this works out for you
and good luck.

You can reset the password from the Administrator account. Also, check the
numlock and caps lock keys.

If you are using XP Home, you can only get to the Administrator account via
Safe Mode. The default password is blank. Press F8 just as Windows starts
to load to get into the boot selector.
