When is M/S going to fix the problems with Word...
I can not insert music, movies, or scrolling features anymore into my Microsoft Outlook messages..... I use Word as my editor for my email in Microsoft Outlook.... I used to be able to click on the icon in the formatting toolbar .... now it will not work...
I can still get it to work iif I use OUTLOOK ExPress... but NOT .. MICROSOFT OUTLOOK... does anyone have a clue????? I have contacted M/S help... and they have told me now for several months that they are working on it...????? Whatever that means....
I bought Office so I could use the better [Microsoft Outlook] program to edit my mail... as it has many more features than Outlook Express.... but now I can not use some of the features that I like most... Like being able to insert Music or a caption right into a message... so that when my party clicks on the message I sent the music begins to play while they read that message...
Does anyone know if M/S is really working on this problem or does someone know of a fix.... thanks... Follownobody >> Stay informed about: Microsoft Word issues... |

Note that this newsgroup is for Windows XP questions. If you
don't get an answer to your question here (and you may not),
you'd probably do better asking in a Microsoft Office newsgroup.
As a side note, be aware that many people, myself included, don't
want to get E-mail with music, pictures, colors, different fonts,
etc. Most of us prefer E-mail to be plain text and don't want to
get html E-mail. If your correspondents like this stuff, then
fine, but you might want to ask before sending such mail to
someone.

Stop using Word as your editor and use HTML format - or create your
documents in Word stand along, then export them to PDF, then email them
as a PDF.

thank you for your reply... I am using HTML.... but need to use Word to get results I want.... I don't want to have to save every message and then send.... Not sure of what you are talking about....
When I uncheck Word in Options.... there are not many extra's.... Remember I am using Microsoft Outlook.... Not Outlook Express...

OK, I am not familiar with all you are trying to insert. However, you said:
"anymore". Does that mean you could at one time? If so, try open any Office
application and go to Help. Click on Detect and Repair.

Don,,,, thank you for your reply....
Yes it did used to work.... that is why I'm here asking the question....
It worked before the SP-2 update to XP....
I have been in contact with M/S.... and they have no answer....
They do not know WHY it no longer works.... but they AGREE that it does not..... ???
So opening Office and clicking on detect and repair will not work.... that was the first thing i tried as soon as I downloaded the SP2 and found that it had messed up my Word...
Thanks... Follownobody >> Stay informed about: Microsoft Word issues... |
