Monitor doesn't detect VGA/DVI output

Ok a few days ago i tried to playing a game But i think the resolution
was a bit high for my monitor and then now the monitor never works. I
have had this problem in the past but now it wont work at all. I try
to connect my computer to my TV and it works from there but I cant
seem to change it to monitor. I have re-installed windows installed
all the drivers. Does anyone have suggestions?
