OK i am in desperate need of help! Heres the problem...I
decided that is was
high time i changed my password on my account on
Microsoft XP. Im a computer
administrator and went into User Acoounts, clicked on my
account and then
clicked on change password. I changed my password
successfully and then
straight after (i hadnt even clicked out of the window) I
decided to change
my password hint so i wouldnt forget and when i put in my
new password it
didnt work, i tried my old password and that didnt work
either. I even tried
typing in combinations of what i might of accidently
typed in but what i dont
understand is how could i have put it in wrong twice.
So now i cant turn off my computer in case i wont be able
to get back in.
Please help me! How do i find out my new pasword or
change it again or WHAT
how do i fix it?!?!?

Hi

You could try to log on with the original Administrator user:

How to Log On to Windows XP If You Forget Your Password or Your
Password Expires

If that doesn't work out, you might try to reset the local Administrator
password with one of the methods mentioned here:

Try sesame from http://www.forcedentrysoftware.com. It lets you view all the users and reset passwords to whatever you like. If you have time, it even guesses what current passwords are!

Cheers,

Neil
