I only need to open the firewall for the tcp port , say 3380, I don't need
UDP at 3380 nor anything else, right?

The correct TCP port that you only need to open is 3389

thank you.

I found out the trouble is that an rdp client comes into the dual wan router
via one port, got connected to the Xp, and the router may send response back
through another Wan port instead of originating port!

I guess one just have to watch out and use policy base routing when load
balancing is used on router
