I have been trying to install a DVICO Fusion USB2 HDTV Tuner to the USB port
on a Toshiba Tecra A7 laptop with XP Professional. When the USB cable is
connected, Windows will not recognise the new hardware. The actual error
message says "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has
malfunctioned and Windows does not recognise it. Recommendation - try
reconnecting the device" (which I have done on all four USB ports).
I have satisfactorily installed the same tuner on a desktop machine running
XP Home. I have tried getting new drivers from the website (as an alternative
to those supplied on CD) with no effect. Does anyone have any suggestions?
