Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>general (more info?)

I'd like to know what happened to my ability to view www.slide.com's
slideshows? Mid-week last week my computer alerted me that I needed to
install some updates from MS. Well ever since then I'm not able to view
Slide.com or Rockyou.com slideshows. I have uninstalled and reinstalled
Flash Player several times, I've cleared the cookies and cache from my
browser(s) - I tried viewing with IE 7.0, Firefox 2.0 and Netscape. The
slideshows are viewable on other computers but not the one I use which is
running Windows XP. The only updates that I could find installed with a date
near to when this happened was the ones for IE 7.0. I've turned off the
firewall and nothing I've done has resolved this issue! I've went to Flash
Players test site and I can see their flash demonstration fine! I can view
other sites that run Flash Player (ie Frappr, Picturetrail and more!) There
HAS TO BE an issue with those updates as the Flash Player was working fine
until those updates came through!!! And I know that I'm not the only one
affected by this as I've read numerous forums but no one seems to have a
"quick fix" for this!!

Thanks for any help or suggestions you can give me..this is getting old!

Check control panel's Add/Remove programs and see if you can un-install
that update.

Hello everyone! This is Morgan with Slide.com's support team. We've been
busy researching this issue and it looks like it's NOT the Microsoft
update that's causing the problem. We've found that this issue is main
affecting Comcast users in the Southeast part of the states.

We're working on getting a fix out, but if you want some more help your
welcome to contact us directly!

Thanks!

- Morgan
