Hi,

Uninstall: Run System Restore to a day before it was installed. If no
restore points are that old, then you cannot uninstall it. To reinstall,
just redownload the package and rerun it.

You can use either Add or Remove Programs or System Restore to roll back
to the previous version of the Player that was part of your original
version of Windows.
To download:-

Will et.al,
I did what you said here and it won't install... I don't even know how
WMP10
got downloaded in the first place... I was listening to a mp2 on WMP 9 and I
looked
over at the computer and it was downloading and installing the WMP 10
without
any intervention from me... Sheeeeeesh.. What goes here... Anyway, the 10
plays the
songs real scratchy sounding... I opened the RUN box and pulled up mplayer2
and played
the same song on it and it sounds proper... Sooooo, I went to add/remove
programs and
the WMP10 is not listed... I can't go to a restore point beyond where that
all happened
because I just downloaded the new McAfee VS "AFTER" that problem... Dumb
stunt I suppose, but I don't want to have to go thru the McAfee download
again... Anyway, the Add/Remove Windows components doesn't take out the WMP
10 either... I went back to the website and downloaded the WMP9 and went to
install it and the first thing it tells me is that there is a newer version
already installed... OK< How to I get rid of the WMP10 completely so I can
go back to the 9?
I hope you have an answer ..
Thanks

WMP 10 is part of the SP2 update. WindowsUpdate has it as two different
updates and it may have pass thru the Automatic updates.

Yves,
I had installed the SP2 Upgrade at least a month and a half ago and WMP9
was
still the player after the upgrade. I don't think WMP10 goes in with SP2
Upgrade..
I also do NOT use Auto-Update feature on much of anything.. I like to do
them manually on a regular basis... I want to KNOW what is going into my
computers before it happens..
