When exploring the C:\ drive of my machine I noticed that the System32 folder
isn't being displayed. I thought this was odd and went to the run prompt and
input c:\windows\system32 and it showed me the innards of the folder.
I'm wondering why my system32 folder isn't being displayed.
Also I've noticed that I can't get a command prompt from the run menu using
the cmd.exe or command.exe commands.
It's an AMD Sempron 2GHz processor
512 MB Memory
40 Gig HDD
MSI 4m-4m V motherboard.

This only recently happened. I've scanned for viruses in normal and safe
mode. I've scanned for spyware and adware in normal and safe mode.
I've tried doing a system restore to a time when I knew that it was working
correctly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

lol, calm down buddy, no big deal. Its a hidden system folder. Just go to 'my computer' tools -> folder options -> show hidden files and folders. You shouldnt really have much to do with this folder is most cases and it is hidden because deleting or modifying system folders is likely to just cause you more troubles.
