| I have 2 windows user accounts set up - without passwords. However, Windows
is sometimes asking me for a password which doesn't exist and the only way
to get back into Windows is to restart the PC and hope it doesn't ask for a
password again.
Anyone know why this is happening and how to stop it?

Is it just the one account doing that? You aught to protect the Admin
account with a password. You can even put an audio one on for extra
protection. Don't ask me how though.
Browse the net with subsidiary accounts. Change the user setting in
control panel. If you just hit the Enter key at the pasword stage it
aught to accept no password. Or it used to, pre whatever it was they
patched for that, IIRC. >> Stay informed about: XP User account password problem |

I suspect your post makes perfect sense only after consuming a few of
those funny biscuits they sell at 'alternative gatherings.' Very odd.

It's your fault.

This was happening on a previous installation of Windows. I reinstalled
Windows on a new hard drive with new user accounts and it's still doing it. >> Stay informed about: XP User account password problem |
