My OS is XP Home SP1(all patches) and I run AVG 6.0
Free edition; Adaware SE; & Spybot S&D.

AVG has found trojan horse "Collected.AE" in
C:\Docs.&Sett.\Username\Local Sett.\Temp\installer.exe

I have run AVG numerous times and it has removed it.
Everytime I try to access the internet, it comes back.
My IE 6.0 starts automatically and goes to a webpage
that is not the homepage. "http://*.revolt.net" is the
website it takes me to. After I close this window, I can
surf but something is using my bandwidth! I have run
various on-line scanners and specialty
removal tools.(Panda on-line scanner; Trojan scanner on-
line; AIMfix;Adaware;Spybot S&D;Bazooka;Stinger;RAV
Antivirus on-line scanner;Trend Micro on-line scanner; a2
Scanner; IEFix; Stinger; And AIMfix.) All did not help!
(I have run almost all in safe mode as well.)

I have checked MSCONFIG and the taskmanager for processes
but nothing seems out of the ordinary. (I may not have
the trained eye though.) As well, I had a look at my
toolbar because IEFix screwed my settings and I
noticed "AIM" was a button that was inactive. This is
something I have not noticed before.

I have read up on Collected.AE and have found that others
were indeed cured by "AIMFix". As well, I have e-mailed
Jay Loden, the author of Aimfix and he gave me some
advice. So far, no dice...(I am thankful for Jay's help
though....)

AAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH! There must be someone out
there with a fix short of a reformat.

Can anyone assist? It would be appreciated much.

I had a tough problem with Trojans
Try Trojanhunter 4.0 at
<a rel="nofollow" style='text-decoration: none;' href="http://www.trojanhunter.com" target="_blank">http://www.trojanhunter.com</a>
Worked wonders for me (XP Home, Adaware SE etc etc as
well)

That did it MAP! You rock! My only issue now is to
remove the entry that is making my IE open to another
webpage when I access the internet. Other than that,
there is nothing using my bandwidth! Thanx a million!
TDS is the mack daddy of trojan killers!
