Help, our kids did something to the desktop while
watching a DVD movie. Now we can't see the clock in
bottom right corner or the "X" in programs like MSWord to
exit. It's not the resolution - tried changing that and
it hasn't been changed. It may have had something to do
with a wide screen movie format. The kids don't know what
they did to make the movie appear better so we can undo
it. Don't know why something inside media player would
affect all programs, even the desktop. It's like our
monitor lost @ 1" on the right side.

THanks,

LD

I had something similar happen when I first bought a used computer from a
friend, we went over every setting on the computer and tried all kinds of
changes that didn't work, until we discovered that a button on the monitor
had been changed during the move. Make sure it wasn't just an adjustment
made to the monitor itself and not the any settings.
Good Luck!

I am sorry this is so late and maybe you found your answer already, but on my
monitor, there is a button that I can push to access the size and placement
of the picture on my screen. I can move the picture to the right or left, up
or down and make it smaller or larger. I have a Sony monitor, but I am sure
that all monitors have some control such as this. I have had my computer
for 3 years and just found out what this button is for. Boy do I feel dumb.
