Post subject: downloads

For about two weeks now i have not been able to download anything off the
internet,i have turned off the firewall and tried system restore,i have no
viruses or adware/spyware has anyone got any advice for me?

im using IE7 as far as im aware,the window saying how much ive downloaded
stays at 0% permanently and windows media player will not"connect to media,so
frustrating!
