Post subject: external HDD letter allocation

have an omega ext HDD and its been allocated "J" drive until recently, it
wasn't plugged in and a card reader took over the "J" and now HDD is
"K"...no big deal but meant some shortcuts needed fixing to find drive. how
in future can I manually change the drive allocation?

Go to the Start Menu and RMB on My Computer. Select Manage. Browse to Disk
Management. Select the drive and RMB. Select Change Drive Letters and
Paths...
