internet and windows explorer

I have a problem with windows XP and internet explorer. When I start them,
they immediately close (like they are shut by the system) without any warning
or error report. Other applications work ok. Everything is ok in safe mode
(both internet and windows explorer work without any problem). I have checked
the system for viruses, spyware and addware (some viruses were found and
first AVG and after Norton anti-virus reported they were cleaned). Any ideas?

Try reparing Internet Explorer, Add/Remove program, click on IE 6 and choose
Repiar
