When the windows start, it load up all the drivers, softwares at start-up,
softwares in icon tray. How can I make the Local Area Connection to load
first, or at least load it before the Norton Internet Security???

Hi Wilson,

That would probably be a bad idea, even if you could. If you use Norton's
firewall and it is not enabled when your machine connects to the 'net, then
the connection would be unguarded - even if only momentarily. This lapse
would provide a hole for all sorts of nasties to invade your system.
Basically, what you are proposing is counterproductive to good security
measures. Why would you want to do this?

Thank you for your advise. Somehow the Norton Antivirus part in Norton
Security has some kinds of conflict with the Sound Blaster driver, and it
can't not turn on the auto protection, not even I try to turn it on manuelly.
But if the Local Area Connection can load first, everything seems OK. I
just don't know why.

You carn't. Well, you could make it so norton security doesn't load on start up, and then you could enable it manualy every time you turn the computer on.

Right! The firewall should always be loaded and fully functional prior to
the net connection being established. Of course, if you use a NAT based
router, you are pretty well protected regardless. (-:
