Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>help_and_support (more info?)

I just got Windows XP Professional. I loaded it from the CD and now when it
goes to the login screen, I type in my password and it logs me in, plays the
little jingle, then logs me out immediately. I cannot get passed this
screen. I tried running the whole setup again but the same thing happened.
PLEASE HELP!!!!

I appreciate the link. That has to be the problem. But, realize, I have no
idea how to do any of that stuff. It looks like that site gives me the
option to download a whole new type of operating system developed by that
guy. I have no idea how to get my computer running again. PLEASE HELP

Logging in twice? - I have had a problem with WindowsXP lately where when the computer goes into stand-by mode I have to log in twice. The first time I log in I see my desktop come up as it was before then it's like I automatically get logged out. So I log in again and..
