Post subject: memory errors

I started having memory errors. Incidently I have 2 gigs of Corsair PC 3200 DDR 400 ram. I used Norton's QUICK CHECK to check the installed memory. The result came back almost instantly, that my problem is a Memory Allocation Error. I ran Scan Disk, but to no avail. Norton, no luck. I ran a program called BUG DOCTOR, no help. I then let the computer chooses how large my page file should be, no luck.
Even though I am having this problem, after closing the alert window, the computer still works fine!

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks,
Steve

I wouldn't expect any disk checker to fix your problem, becasue it's a memory problem, you said so your self, so why did you think a disk checker would fix it? Any way, it's posible that there is some dust are dirt on the DIMM contacts, tack the memory out use a can of air to blow in to the DIMM slots and put the memory back in.
