Hi
I have just upgraded to adsl broadband and unable to download entertainment
content from my provider (Telstra BigPond). After much toing and froing they
have informed me that is an ie problem. I tried running sfc/scannow but it
wouldn't work. When I checked out the system I found the following listed as
missing:
iecont.dll and iecontlc.dll . Also ieuinit.inf is listed as not available.
To resolve these problems should I unistall sp2 and then re install it?
Grateful for any assistance

How did you determine those components are missing ? I did a scan of
my XP partition and it did not show either Dynamic Link Library you've
listed.

As part of your upgrade did you install any software ? Broadband can
work without any ISP software. What exactly happens when you try to
download media content ?

Being told it's IE's fault sounds like the old Shift the Blame game when
they don't have a clue what's going on.

when I try to download movies from the provider I get the msg to install
their media manager. I have done this but the download section of the
provider doesn't recognise it. Also I can't get live video from the site.
I discovered that the dlls were missing when I checked out system
information on my computer.
