Post subject: msn vs. windows messenger PC/Mac
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>general (more info?)

I read in the posts that msn and windows messengers have some
differences.

I have a PC running Windows XP Professional. I downloaded both
(Windows Messenger v. 5.1 and msn messenger v. 7.5) and it looks like
on a PC both have voice communication.

I need IM and voice communication between my PC and a Macintosh. Could
someone tell me if both software have voice communication on Macintosh
and if not which one has it, if any, and if Mac-PC communication is
possible with it.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Insted of messing about with the unreliable MSn voice talk thing, you probably would want to try a much more reliable method of voice communication, if I was wanting to have voice communication between a PC running windows and a PC running MAC OS X I would proably opt for some thing like team speak.
