Address Book:

All you need to do is choose Export from the File menu then choose Address
Book, choose the Comma Seperated Values, click the Export button, click
Browse to a location to save the backup & give it a meaningful name. Click
Next, tick all columns & click Finish. Click OK on the exported successfully
message box & click Close on the other.

For messages:

On The Maintainance tab of Tools, Options you have a Store Root button. This
is the location of the DBX files

Go to that location, typically 'C:\Documents and
Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{User
String Here}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

Copy the DBX files to where you want to back them upto

Message Rules:

Click START, RUN, type regedit & click OK

Navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{Same User String
Here}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0\Rules\Mail

And now export the entire key using the registry menu, export option, type a
same in the Save File Dialog box then click the Save button.

I hope this helps
