every page i am on only stays active for seconds, then times out (don't know
if i'm describing this properly).

ex. if i am typing an email, after a few seconds, the page times out and i
have to reclick the cursor in order to keep typing.

does anyone know what this could br due to?
any help would be appreciated.

thanks,
dee

When this happens, hold down the Alt key, and press Tab. This should show you
the icon of the page you were trying to type on, and next to it, to the left,
the icon of the app you had changed focus to. Something is grabbing the
focus, and the first step is to identify that.

thanks mark,

i did as you suggessted...when in email, the icon to the far left was the
pencil icon, when on this page, it was the internet explorer icon...you said
to note which icon was to the left, but both were the icons fartherst to the
left.

i can't type anywhere for more than a few seconds without the cursor
unclicking..very frustrating

any ideas on what to do next?

thanks a lot.

This pencil icon is the app that is grabbing the focus. Close it if you don't
want it to do that. (Rightclick it's icon on the Taskbar, and click Close.)
