Post subject: problems after upgrading
I recently upgraded to XP from ME, and I keep getting an error message telling me that the cable to my printer (Brother MFC 4800) isn't working. It worked fine before the upgrade. Do I need to reload a driver for this LPT cable? If so, where do I find it? thanks for any advice.

It's likely that the ME driver will not work with XP. Try looking for a new driver here:

http://www.brother.com/E-ftp/info/index.html

You may have to uninstall the printer, and then re-install after running the driver files. I'm not that familiar with Brother printers.
