I have XP Pro SP1.

This is a random error, it is not consistent, although im slightly puzzled
as to why it occurs, and whether there is a problem with a
driver/program/windows.

Occasionally, when I click on 'Log off' or 'Turn off computer' in the start
menu, I get an error message.

"Explorer has encountered an error"

Explorer closes, then reopens strait away, swiftly.

Then if I click 'Log off' or 'Turn off computer it will be fine again, and
will work normally.

Thanks.
