Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>help_and_support (more info?)

I have recently tried to use my DVD for a movie DVD and Windows XP home does
see the disk in the drive. It is a DVD drive and has worked in the past
however won't at the moment. It can read data and music CDs and they can be
accessed from explorer however when a DVD is in the drive I receive an
"Insert disk in drive" message.

The only recent update I can think of is WinXP SP 2.

Please help as the kids are getting a little mad not being able to play
their DVD ROM games.

Thanks
Dave
