This computer was running excellant. Then I was advised
to download the latest upgrades/updates from microsoft. I
updated, and now this computer is running incredibly
slow. It is hesitant, often crashes, and windows are
exceptionally slow to load. If anyone has a solution or
knows why this has happened, I'd appreciate it.

You can uninstall service pack 2 from Add or Remove Programs. Then read
this, from Microdoft's web site:

"What to Know Before You Download and Install Windows XP Service Pack 2"

and install SP 2 again.

Well I unistalled it, and the computer is workin great
(so far). Will wait till more updates come along for SP2
to reinstall it. Its a shame, but oh well.
