XP SP3 was made available to those on their mailing list. If for example you are an IT manager and on MS mailing list it was made available. There are warnings however. It is suggested it be installed on a test computer. MS may be sending these to everyone in one of their databasees or randomly to a percentage to try to broaden the testing base as the product moves towards release. It still should not be installed on a production or primay home computer because there is no support from MS Product Support Services yet. But its all up to the user. do normal updates and down the left side select "Change Settings" on that page check the show "Beta". then go back and check updates again Win XP SPA CRY will be listed. anyone can get it. I loaded it on a EVGA 780i w/ E6600 BFG 7950's SLI in 2 RAID sets and it works fine. not one problem. as a matter of fact I think its a little fasted then it was? Yes. The TechBeta testers who are the ones working with it the longest report a 5% to 10% increase in performance. I think that is largly anecdotal. I haven't seen benchmarks. But it does appear faster to me too.
