I think I really screwed something up and need some help. I upgraded
my computer from Windows ME to Windows 2000, only to find out that 2000
was released before ME so the upgrade was not compatible. Now my pc is
only showing 16 bit configuartion and won't let me do jack.

I have an upgrade cd for Windows XP, but am receiving an error while
trying to upgrade to that as well. One of the errors I'm receiving is
an invalid image, and another error is saying that my upgrade flag is
set to No.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know! I would be willing
to just start from scratch and do a clean install but I'm unsure of how
to do that. I also have the full XP disc in addition to the upgrade
disc.

Thanks so much!!

Run "sfc /scannow" which checks all system files and replaces any that are
bad. It probably will ask for the Windows ME CD that came with the computer.
I don't know if this will work anymore but try it.
