Delete a file on mapped drive

Post subject: Delete a file on mapped drive
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>win2000>file_system (more info?)

Running a server 2000 sp4.
A shared folder on the serve. many users have mapped drives to this folder.
A file was delete from the share via the mapped drive.
The file is not in the recycle bin.

Where is it?

Files deleted over the network are gone for good unless you use a third
party app.
