Post subject: Fatal exception during intioal log on

I have a IBM Personal computer 300Pl with Win 98 designed for Win NT.It is a Pentium 3 with 500Mgz.This was a corporate computer on a network using high speed internet service.
I got this computer and decided to use it for home use with dial-up.I removed old intenet settings and set it to automaticly detect internet settings.I'm using netzero as isp. Here's what happensI click on the netzero connect, the modem dials.it verifies ID Then logs me in .As soon as I am connected And before the browser is to appear I get a fatal excerption 0D has occred at 0000:0000F966.IF I click on any key the excemption keeps occuring then freezes computer.
I have Microsoft Client With Adapter and TCP/IP settings.I tried changing browser to firefox I get same results.I used the program DIAL A FIX to reregister dll files.no luck.I get same fatal exception. Can anyone tell me what is causing fatal eception and how to eliminaten it?Is it because this computer once was designed to be on a network.I do not have a restore disk But I have a Win 98 se Disk. Can anyone An Help? Thanks
