Post subject: Folder redirection and rights.
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>win2000>group_policy (more info?)

Hello,
I have make a gpo "folder redirection" like i have read in this article:
http://www.msterminalservices.org/articles/Configure-Folder-Redirection.html
The folder redirection in the gpo point to my dfs in my network (for a later
dfs replication).

I have also give the following rights:

Share:
everyone: Full control
system: Full control
administrators: full control

NTFS:
everyone: this folder only -- traverse folder, list folder, read
attributes, create folders
creator owner: subfolders and file only -- full control
system: this folder, subfolders and files -- full control
domain administrators: this folder, subfolders and files -- full control

my problem is that a user can create a new folder through the dfs, and has
access to folders from another users.
what is wrong?

thanks a lot....

Frederic

Hello Frederic,

List folder also includes Read Data for the EVERYONE group.

And you have set Create Folder for the EVERYONE group on the folder that
is shared.
