Hi,

We are trying to delete / rename some of the files / folders stored over a
network share. File is in use or locked error message pops up when deleting
them. We granted full permissions for the logged on user. Also checked for
file locks (using process explorer & WholockMe) - nothing. No success. Is
there a way to unlock these files/folders without rebooting the server. After
reboot, the deletion occurs. But this problem is coming up very frequently.
Stopped the Antivirus & Backup services also. Still no success. Can any body
throw a light on this? Why are these files getting locked and not showing in
Process Explorer? Is there a way to remove the lock without rebooting the
server? Is there a way to prevent it from happening again?
