Hi to all. My issue is as follows:
I am running on Windows XP SP2 with the latest security patches.
When i ping a destination by name it takes aproximately 10-20 seconds to
resolve the name before the actual pinging progresses.
If I ping by address the pinging progresses immediately.
If I run tracert I see the same behavior as with ping.
If I run nslookup on the domain name it returns immediately with the
resolved ip.
When I run IE it may take minutes for a page to load.

The other machines in my locale are setup identically as my own yet they do
not see any performance issues.
I have also flushed my dns cache on by running 'ipconfig /flushDNS'.

Anyone have any ideas what the next step for me to analyze my problem?

Thanks in advance.

Hello kmrneedsnethelp,

How is your DNS configured on the machine? Please post an ipconfig /all
