Is it possible to trace/log all DNS lookups on a client?

I'm trying to debug a web browsing problem. Being able to log all DNS
lookups being done by the DNS client for an interval would help. A log
that included all local HOSTS file lookups would be ideal.

I have a W2K PeeCee on a home ISP connection. No local DNS servers or
much else. I have the parasite-blocker hosts file from these folks.

It's blocking me from using a website and in a particularly arcane
way. The main page loads up but it looks like a css file is missing
and links don't work. When I delete the hosts file, it works fine.

I've used it for years. It's now up to 17,000 domain names blocked and
never cause a problem, till today.

I use FireFox and all the add-ons tha I know of to show what links are
on a page haven't helped me, so far, at least the ones I know of.

The major problem with these hosts files is it gives the DNS Cleint Service
fits during service start. That is why it is recommended to disable the DNS
Client service.
